Math Problem of the Day: Marshall and his friends are making a map of their neighborhood. Lupita graphs a point at the origin on the coordinate plane to show the location of the hospital. Then she graphs the park at point (3,-2). Where is the park in relation to the hospital? Is it to the left, right, bottom, top of the hospital?

I read the math problem of the day.
I was kind of confused at first but
I got it afterward though. The park is left of the hospital. I know because I drew out the grid and I followed the directions to the park. That is how I got my answer.

I think the point was to the bottom right of the Hospital because it was under it and to the right. Also I don't think the other class learned this yet so they might not get it. Also you should challenge us more.

I think I know the answer of the math problem of the day. I think it's to the left of the hospital. I think it's to the left because the the location of the park is at (0,0) and to go to the hospital location is to go right and that makes the park to the left.

I think I figured out the math problem of the day and I think the answer is bottom right. I know this because we learned this is math class today and the you always start with the x axis and mve to the y axis. Since the positive on the x axis is to the right you need to go to the number 3 on the positive side. Then since the negative for the y axis is downards you need to look for the number 2 n the y axis. Also that makes the cooridinate 3, -2. From the origin to there it is bottom right.

I thought the math question of the day was pretty hard because we had to do it on paper. The answer is bottom right because I drew it out and followed the directions on the grid and got bottom right.

Dear 5th grade teachers,
this what I got as my answer. I think it is to the left of the hospital because to graph the ordered pair (3,-2) you have to go 3 up and 2 left because the two is negative. Also the origin is (0,0) so it comes out to be to the left of the hospital.
